The final leg of our aspirations has been made possible by an incredible donor – the development of a women’s shelter.  This will be the first place of refuge for victims of domestic violence in the rural areas of the north western part of Zimbabwe. Sadly, it is a much needed facility and it will go a long way in giving women in our area hope, dignity, and with access to the community centre, skills to better face their futures.   

The facility buildings and security perimeters are already complete and we now work towards fully equipping the 10 twin bedrooms, communal kitchen and laundry and living spaces, planting the central communal nutritional food garden, as well as look for funding for the specialist staff needed. We are working in collaboration with Miracle Missions in setting up and manning the refuge and are so appreciative of their continued support, along with that of kind donors who have already started a wardrobe for the women and children.
