Water

Access to safe, reliable water is essential for health, education, and community wellbeing. In many rural areas, families and schools rely on distant or unsafe water sources, placing a heavy burden on women and children and increasing health risks. Jafuta Foundation’s Water Projects address these challenges through sustainable, community-led solutions.

We focus on developing and rehabilitating reliable water sources for schools and communities, improving access to clean water for drinking, hygiene, and sanitation. Reliable water access reduces time spent collecting water, supports healthier learning environments, and strengthens livelihoods, particularly during dry seasons.

All projects are delivered in close partnership with communities to ensure ownership, maintenance, and long-term sustainability—helping to build healthier, more resilient rural communities.
