Girls Dignity Program

Girls and women in rural communities often lack access to affordable menstrual hygiene products, leading to missed school days, reduced participation, and loss of dignity. Jafuta Foundation’s Sanitary Pad Making Programme provides a practical and sustainable solution through the production of reusable, washable sanitary pads.

Women from the community are trained to make the pads, building local skills and income opportunities while ensuring a reliable supply of products. The programme also includes menstrual health education to reduce stigma and promote good hygiene practices.

Together, these efforts help girls stay in school, restore dignity, and create a sustainable, community-owned approach to menstrual health management.
