Attachments

For many rural school leavers, access to employment is extremely limited due to high unemployment, lack of networks, and little or no work experience. Jafuta Foundation’s Work Attachments Programme helps bridge this gap by providing young people with practical, hands-on exposure to real work environments.

Through short-term placements, participants gain valuable skills, learn workplace expectations, and build confidence and discipline. In addition to practical experience, they develop essential soft skills such as communication, time management, and teamwork, while also building references and networks that are rarely accessible to rural youth.

By offering structured work attachments, Jafuta Foundation helps rural school leavers transition from school into the world of work with greater confidence, opportunity and hope.
